Stephen Powell and fellow master wildlife artist Steve Morvell are of on 2013 Artist Guided African adventure. Following on from highly successful 2010 and 2012 safaris in South Africa & Tanzania This is an opportunity to experience Africa with a group of like minded fellow travelers. Your African Wildlife Art safari enhanced by wildlife artists – photographers eager to share their knowledge and skills. Learn the art of sketching animals direct from life, in the field with Steve Morvell as your guide. He is a master of the art with decades of experience creating thousands of stunning images.

Day 1, 2 & 3 – The Famous Kruger National Park
Home to an unbelievable number of species … trees, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals including of course the famous BIG 5 of the wild…lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo.

Day 4 & 5 – Nkambeni Tented Camp Kruger National Park
At Nkambeni Tented Lodge they are committed to the preservation of wilderness areas. The accommodation at Nkambeni Tented Lodge consists of 150 beautifully appointed luxury timber and canvas tented suites. The permanent luxury tents offer you an en-suite bedroom with air-conditioning and a private deck. Their suites are designed and constructed to guarantee minimum impact on the environment. For that reason the suites have been built on wooden stilts. The restaurant offers true South African hospitality.

Day 6 & 7 – Mount Sheba – Panoramic Route
We can visit places such as Pilgrim’s Rest, Waterfalls, God’s Window & Blyde River Canyon… Situated on the Drakensberg escarpment in
Mpumalanga is God’s Window.

Day 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 – Sausage Tree Safari Camp
on Balule Nature Reserve Part of greater Kruger

Our African safari-styled tents are nestled in between Marula, Knobthorn Acacia and Sausage Trees and overlook a dry river bed, the bush and the Northern Drakensberg Mountains. Each tent is spacious and built in an elevated position with it’s own special view. Search of some of Africa’s famous variety of mammal and bird life, such as Giraffe, Zebra, African Fish Eagles, Vultures and the notorious Big 5

Day 14 – Home Drop off Hoedspruit / Phalaborwa Airport End of safari…
